Brendan Bellomo is an award-winning film and commercial Director.  

He is an NYU alumnus, whose work has been screened at the San Francisco International Film Festival, DGA, and Lincoln Center while attending his undergraduate studies. During his time at NYU, Mr. Bellomo also went on to Direct “Bohemibot,” a live-action sci-fi short. An ambitious undertaking, the film took over two years to complete with an all-volunteer cast and crew of over 200 students and professionals from 11 countries. “Bohemibot” went on to screen at over 30 film festivals and garnered numerous awards including Best Short, Best Visual Effects, Best Sound Design, and Best Cinematography. In 2009 Mr. Bellomo received the Student Academy Award for Directing. 

In addition to Directing, Mr. Bellomo also works as a VFX Supervisor, having overseen over 3,000 VFX shots for film, television, and commercials. He supervised the 2012 Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner and Best Picture Oscar nominee Beasts of the Southern Wild (Fox Searchlight). He is also frequently brought on to VFX Supervise special live-action shoots and CGI projects (including NBC’s The Blacklist, HBO’s The Wire, and River Road Entertainment’s Love and Mercy). 

In 2017, he was brought on by Tesla to Direct a project for Elon Musk's unveiling of the new Tesla Semi. That same year he personally worked with Annie Leibovitz on her Women: New Portraits global exhibit. 

Commercial work includes TheraFlu for Saatchi, "Forged in Fire" spots for History Channel, a national Dean & Deluca campaign, Johnnie Walker spots, Nespresso, and 7-Eleven, as well as Directing the Phantom Unit on the Sprint “Cut Your Bill in Half” national campaign for Deutsch LA.

His recent clients include 26th Street Pictures, Fox Searchlight, River Road Entertainment, HBO, NBC, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Tesla, Panasonic, Samsung, Sony, HP, Dom Pérignon, Skyy Vodka, Pepsi, Budweiser, Lady Gaga, David Bowie, A$AP Ferg, Vanity Fair, and Hermes.

In 2019, Brendan directed a sci-fi short film, EXTRA ORDINARY, which is currently being developed into a feature film. He is also the Executive Producer of CHUPA, which went to #1 on Netflix in 2023.

His directorial debut, PORCELAIN WAR, won the 2024 Sundance U.S. Grand Jury Prize: Documentary.
